With the 2022 Indonesian Round fast approaching, take a trip down memory lane and remember last year’s visit to Mandalika

With the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship preparing for a trip to Indonesia for the 2022 Pirelli Indonesian Round, remind yourself of last year’s first visit to the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit. A new venue for WorldSBK, and motorsport as a whole, the venue was an instant hit on the WorldSBK calendar as Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK) was crowned Champion for the first time after a dramatic weekend in Indonesia while there was thrilling racing throughout.

Delayed until Sunday due to heavy rain on Saturday, Race 1 was a thrilling affair as Razgatlioglu took his first title after he battled back from a mistake that took him out of the positions he needed to beat Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) to the Championship. Race 2 was another dramatic affair as Rea doubled up on victories at Mandalika but there was a fierce battle for the podium places as 2021 came to a thrilling conclusion.

The events during the Indonesian Round provided loads of extra content for you to enjoy too. There’s the Round Recap video to go back over all the drama from Race 1 and Race 2 in Indonesia. The Relive video gives a six-minute overview of the title-deciding Indonesian Round from last year while, as usual, you can get a behind-the-scenes look at some iconic moments from Indonesia in 2021 with Unfiltered; featuring unseen moments from Razgatlioglu’s celebrations.
